Introduction

Namo CrossEditor is a multi-platform online editor for creating web-standard HTML documents.

CrossEditor maximizes compatibility by not requiring the installation of any ActiveX controls and by offering an editing environment which produces documents that look the same on all major browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome, Opera, Safari and others. Also, it works on Linux, Mac OSX and other platforms as well as Windows.

Namo CrossEditor adheres faithfully to web standards so that it can be applied in a variety of different contexts where online document editing is needed including web mail, message boards and KMS/CRM/CMS solutions.

About this Guide

This user guide explains all of CrossEditor's features as well as how to accomplish basic tasks.

It contains the following sections.

- This Intro section provides a brief overview of CrossEditor and this guide.

- The Features section provides explanations on how to perform basic tasks using CrossEditor's features.

- The Buttons section explains the function of each of the buttons in CrossEditor's toolbars.

- The Index section provides an alphabetical list of often searched-for terms and topics.

Each section provides a list of hyperlinks to subsections in a frame on the left-hand side for easy navigation. Click on each hyperlink to visit that subsection. You can also use the forward and backward buttons on your web browser to navigate the help files.

Conventions

This user guide adheres to the following basic typographical conventions.

- Names of commands and UI components such as buttons and checkboxes are written in blue (e.g. "Click OK").

- Each step of a multi-step task is listed with numbers ('1 2 3') in front of it.

- Screen captures of various program features a provided to aid in your understanding.

- Special tips and usage notes are written inside Gray Boxes.
